According to the technological consultants Pasiona Consulting, 80.7% of the Spanish companies have not implemented “cloud computing” in their company.

The management model in the cloud has demonstrated to be a very advantageous solution for any type of company because it generates benefit for supply companies that can offer a larger number of services faster and more efficient as well as client companies that can enjoy these added services in a transparent way, paying only for consumption.

Despite the objective advantages that the model offers and the evident competitiveness it provides, the numbers in Spain are now reaching the European average of 2014 that was 19.3% market penetration. Only Madrid with 27.4% and Catalonia with 25.6% are the autonomous communities that exceed the state average. All the others are below the average.

However, there is positive data in the study which explains that there has been an increase in market penetration during the last year going from 15.4% in 2015 to the previously mentioned 19.3%.

The analysis of this data reveals that the principal problem is not technical because the degree of presence on the Internet in Spain (98.4%) as well as the implementation of broad band (82,9%) are elevated. So the slowdown to the cloud Computing comes down to, according to the experts of the consulting firm, the lack of information and the absence of clear strategic criteria of some companies.
